Lincoln Middle School Athletic Field, Track & Lighting

Simpson & Simpson provided project and construction management services for the removal and replacement of the multi-purpose athletic track and field at Lincoln Middle School. Site preparation work included demolition, excavation and removal of excess soils and installation of a new subsurface drainage system. The new athletic field consists of 85,000 SF of synthetic turf with field markings. A new 6-lane track encircles the field and consists of 29,000 SF of 1/2”- thick textured and embedded running surface with lane and distance stripping over a 4” asphalt base. New ADA-compliant restrooms were constructed to support school and public track and field activities. Energy efficient directional lighting was installed to minimize light pollution in the surrounding neighborhood.
